You're really going to make me walk all the way around?

I would estimate that out of the seniors we have about 1/4 or 1/3 are taking college classes at OCTC. This is probably about 75-100 students atleast. The school makes the students who take college classes park at special designated area's far away from the office, where we are all supposed to go into the enter the school. Now, walking all the way around the school upon returning from your college class on a regular day is enough of a hassle but consider when it is windy and pouring down rain, or there are two inches of snow on the ground and the walk way hasn't been shoveled off. You still have to walk to the office. Now what happens when you get to the office that is so important? Nothing, you walk in and walk right on through to the door into the school, no one stops and asks what you're doing, nothing. Why can't you just walk in the door closest to your parking spot. If you're a senior taking college classes you're obviously decently responsible, you should be able to enter the school where you please, hell you're a senior, you practically deserve it.

Personally a few weeks ago I walked up to the door by the car pickup lines with Madison Mills. It was raining, and we both had alot of books in our hands. We knocked on the door and a teacher who will remain nameless opened it and told us we couldn't come in here we had to walk around to the office. We ended up walking around getting our books and persons quite soaked and cold.

That should have never happened, we should have been allowed to enter the building there. Daviess County High School should have solved this problem a long time ago. We could implement some form of ID scanner and if you have college classes you scan your ID and are able to get into the school. Some administrators might claim this would be to expensive. But if we have money to spend purchasing new banners for the school parking lot and gym as well as new paint jobs, we should have room in the budget to find a solution to this continual problem.
